Abbey Rae Weller

Hey there! My name is Abbey Rae and I am a freelance videographer x photography currently based in the Central Florida area. I began exploring videography in January of 2021, and started creating my own content by that April! I built my background through a position with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Intramural Sports program, capturing the "love for the game" through numerous athletic events. Today, I continue developing my athletic videography skills at Full Sail University, pursuing a Sports Marketing and Media Bachelors Degree with a goal to be an Extreme Sports Social Media Specialist.

In the past, I have explored many different niches of videography and photography. I have worked very closely with Embry-Riddle's Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority for creating their recruitment video for Fall 2021 recruitment, marking my first long-duration project! I have taken formal event photos for the sorority as well as the school's sailing team. Otherwise, I enjoy traveling and filming new locations and various motorsport events.

My Background

Capturing events has always been a passion of mine. I began photography around age ten, simply shooting my surroundings. I had the opportunity attend a few downhill mountain bike races at age twelve. It was at these events where I really saw my photography skills start to develop.

I was fortunate enough to have parents who loved to travel. Through my childhood we took two cross-country trips and visited places like Arches, Yellowstone, The Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, and the Grand Tetons... among many others. These experiences made me fall in love with the beauty of nature and living in the moment.

It also gave me the opportunity to show the world how much is out there to explore. I remember my first time traveling cross-country, just being ten years old, and signing up for my first Instagram. My first picture was of a full rainbow over the mountains at the edge of the valley. That night I remember taking my second picture of a fire pit in the wee hours of civil twilight. You find a sense of self in exploring pure nature, and being able to give that back to the world warms my heart.

My experiences growing up have shaped the foundation of why I am a videographer x photographer. Discovering that I can share the enjoyment of living in the moment with the world, I needed to use my art to aid others' experiences. I have a strong passion for entertainment and experience, and love being able to give ease to an event. My goal is to take the pressure away of asking someone to take a photo and allow you to continue enjoying yourself with friends.
